The reason why I couldn't go crazy at Alameda Flea Market is, I scored big the day before. After getting all of this for about $15, everything felt very expensive.
Minnie Mouse pedastal mug.
Ponderosa Pyrex mug.
Federal sugar bowl(?).
FK mini casserole "petit potager".
FK McDonald's Good Morning Mug(2nd one for me).
Glasbake soup mug.
Anchor Hocking custard cup set of 4.
Pyrex Crazy Daisy sugar bowl.
This is why I can't stop thrifting.
3/24/08 Salvation Army. 50¢. Did a lil research. Willig is a freight lines company. Ad mug. Love the yellow and little California map on the back.
4/14/08 Goodwill. 99¢. Crazy Daisy and Woodland.
4/18/08 Community Thrift Store $5. I've been passing these for so long. Because it was so dirty and highly priced. But now I know how to clean these things I just got them so they wont bug me everytime I pass by.
4/11/08 community thrift store. smaller plates were bundled with cups as saucers. but not sure if they are saucers or small plates.
this weekend was really nice in san francisco. weather wise. we don't get to enjoy the "california" weather so much so it's really special. my boss said we could leave early on friday because it was so nice out. yes, it's that special.
so i took a little walk to thrift store. i was already getting sweaty. it was hot. then i found a whole bunch of pyrex set. in good condition. i took bus to work that day. they are heavy. what would you do??
i made sets of 4. it was still heavy. i love them. when i got home and washed all, 2 of the small plates(are they saucers?) were backstamped "fire king". but they are identical. to me. love them anyway.

so here's what i found out.
It is not uncommon to find the two company's pieces mixed, Pyrex stopped production in 1978 & Fk/AH continued into atleast the early 1980's. Many Pyrex customers reordered from FK/AH after they could no longer reorder from Pyrex.

oh, and i found old pyrex casseroles at another thrift store near by. it was in really good condition too. i almost got it but i promised myself(and my husband) i won't go there. big items. we live in a small condo in the city. plus i don't really cook. it should go to the house where there's plenty of storage space.
3/29/08 Savers. It's a knock off brand of Pyrex, made in Mexico! It doesn't bother me as long as it's cute. There's an interesting article on pyrex love.
4/2/08 Goodwill. 99¢. This mug was made by Federal Glass, although it is marked Westfield on the base. Federal made it under a contract for Westfield. (Un)fortunately I don't know any Harold.
